ACTEGA Kelstar custom formulates coatings and pressroom chemistry utilizing the newest raw materials to enhance product performance and runnability. Our coatings provide a significant advantage in performance such as faster drying or curing coatings with improved rub resistance and higher gloss levels. We work closely with our customers to develop new technologies to meet the ever-increasing demands of the marketplace.

ACTEGA Kelstar has a strict quality control program for all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products. This stringent quality control program enables ACTEGA Kelstar to QC quality into our products even before we begin the manufacturing process. All of our incoming raw materials must pass stringent QC test parameters before they are approved for production use. Only after raw materials have passed quality control checks by trained laboratory technicians, are they certified and approved for use in production.

All coatings and pressroom chemistry must pass a stringent set of parameters to be released for shipment. Upon request, for further quality certification, we can issue a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and pre-shipment wet sample of the product that certifies that the product is within specifications. Our products, aside from having excellent performance characteristics and runnability, have excellent consistency, batch to batch.

Our Research & Development laboratories are located at our Cinnaminson, NJ corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. ACTEGA Kelstar's technical team is comprised of some of the best formulators in the Graphic Arts. Our chemists have a broad base of practical application knowledge and are extremely creative and innovative in their problem solving approach.

ACTEGA Kelstar has proactive product development and custom formulates products for specialty applications. Our Research & Development capabilities include designing high rub coatings, high gloss coatings, and functional coatings that provide grease resistance, water resistance or alkali resistance. ACTEGA Kelstar has the technical ability to support and maximize aqueous & UV curable coatings, fountain solution, and ink-related compatibility. We have a strong understanding of a wide range of chemistries which we manufacture and support.

ACTEGA Kelstar is committed to work in a partnership with our customers by utilizing our existing quality system and making modifications to our documentation to customize them to the specific formats and requirements upon request. We build a close working relationship with your quality control department and this enables us to process the exact information that you will want or need.
