ACTEGA Terra is the pioneer for overprint varnishes. In the 1970s, ACTEGA Terra - at that point of time known as Joachim Dyes Lackfabrik - developed the first waterbased coatings for the graphic arts industry. Today, ACTEGA Terra GmbH, based in Lehrte, Germany (close to Hannover), is the leading company for overprint varnishes in Europe.

Since the year 2000 ACTEGA Terra has been a member of ALTANA AG, a leading international company in the special chemical business based in Wesel, Germany. ACTEGA Terra is 100% focussed on the development, production and sales of coatings for the graphic arts industry.
