Coatings based on renewable resources

TerraGreen is not only waterbased and free of solvents, it is also the innovative coating for the graphic arts industry as it is made of renewable resources. In contrast to regular waterbased coatings, TerraGreen is based on resins and waxes from nature. Its resource base is independent of petrochemicals and the shortage of fossil resources.

Exactly similar to traditional waterbased coatings, TerraGreen dries physically through hot air and infrared. TerraGreen was developed for existing coating units and tested extensively. No production changes are necessary to switch to this new environmentally friendly technology.

TerraGreen consistently saves oil supplies that are ever becoming scarcer. Resources are assured for future generations. The raw materials for TerraGreen are based on plants and trees, and guarantee a positive climatic effect.

In future, many print buyers will put more emphasis on the environmental awareness of their suppliers. The central requirements in this case are sustainability and climatic neutrality. With TerraGreen, printers are oriented toward the future. TerraGreen makes an important contribution to the goal of green printing. The TerraGreen seal

Dedication for sustainable environmental protection deserves communication. With the TerraGreen seal you can mark your printed products as innovative and environmental friendly.  

The TerraGreen seal stands for the following quality characteristics:

  • The percentage of renewable resources in the coating is 90% or above.
  • The coating is at least 75% biodegradable.
  • The volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted to the ambient air during production do not account for more than 0,2%.
