Coatings for flexo printing

Transport packaging, sales packaging or displays of corrugated board provide besides their transport and packaging function also promotional impact. The flexo post-print process is characterized by printing directly on the exterior covering of the corrugated cardboard. The coating gives the printed product the required gloss or high gloss and the necessary scratch and scuff resistance, and guarantees with that perfect appearance at the point of sale. The coatings have a very fast drying time, so that high machine speeds are achieved and the die cutted printed products are processed without problems.
Pre-Print
With high volumes and special quality requirements, pre-print is an alternative. The paper is printed first from reel to reel and then glued on the corrugated board. The gluing and drying is done under influence of heat. Therefore, coatings for pre-print are designed for special heat resistance. In addition, they are provided with all important properties, such as defined gloss, scratch and scuff resistance, wet block resistance and fast drying.
Reel to reel/die cutter
As well as printed products of corrugated board, various other printed products of paper and board are printed and coated in flexo printing. In this case, production is implemented either from web to web, or alternatively from web directly inline to the die cutter. Here also the coating guarantees high-quality and trouble-free printed products.
