Haptic coatings

Coatings mainly have optical functions. They protect the printed product and provide for high gloss or the required matt grade. However, further senses are also addressed, which is the sense of feeling. The first contact with the printed product is a special experience.

Through special haptic coatings, multisensory printing becomes possible. These are matt coatings which provide special surface properties. According to required effect the coating provides for a wet feeling (gentle touch), comparable for example with suede, or a velvet-like surface (soft touch) that reminds us of the character of a peach.
