Delran, New Jersey, March 11, 2019

ACTEGA North America is pleased to announce the purchase and installation of a Mark Andy Performance Series P5, 13-inch flexographic press at its Twin Lakes R&D facility in Charlotte, N.C.

The press has six print stations and a rail system currently carrying a Stork rotary screen unit, inline lamination and die cutting add-ons. Being equipped with hot air dryers and a GEW Rhino UV and UV-LED lamp system, the press is able to support all current ink and coating technologies.

The press will be used to accelerate the development, scale up and launch of new inks, coatings and adhesives as well as supporting customer focused projects. According to Grant Schutte, ACTEGA North America chief technology officer, “The investment made in this press further demonstrates our commitment to delivering customer value through innovative technology platforms, product system solutions and collaboration projects. The current functionality and targeted additions to the line will further allow development of new future-ready products and sustainable labeling approaches such as the platform project currently under development by our intrepreneur team at ACTEGA North America Technologies.”

Susan Kuchta, vice president of sales and marketing added, “Aside from speed to market on new products, we are also excited about the opportunity to work with our industry co-suppliers on systems that will improve application performance and efficiency for our customers. We plan on continuing to build out our technical capabilities and our facility, including creation of a customer collaboration and innovation center as part of our stated mission of helping our customers differentiate the world’s brands!”
