Already in 2008, ACTEGA Terra introduced the award-winning TerraGreen product line. Unlike conventional water-based coatings based on petroleum derivatives, TerraGreen is based on renewable resources in the form of vegetable resins.
A pleasant finishing based on matt and gloss effects was realized here. Glossy areas are in the focus, matt surfaces provide the desired contrast. Having printed with conventional inks, the TerraGreen gloss coating was applied full-area. The TerraGreen matt coating was used partially (background).

SUSTAINABLE COATING
Nature and sustainability characterize our March motif. In the graphic arts industry, too, environmental protection has long ceased to be a niche issue. This also includes the use of overprint varnishes in terms of sustainable material purchasing. The vegetable resins used for TerraGreen are neither foodstuffs nor substances from the food chain. Similar to caoutchouc, the materials used are harvested while the biomass continues to exist. TerraGreen has no negative impact on existing eco systems.
