ACTEGA Artística receives the certification ISO 45001: 2018
- As one of the first companies in Spain, ACTEGA Artística received the ISO 45001:2018 certification.
- This certification replaces the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Series implemented in ACTEGA Artística since 2008.
- The ISO 45001:2018 compliance certification has been issued by the Spanish certification body AENOR in May 2019.
Vigo (Spain), October 7, 2019 – The new ISO 45001:2018 certification is a relevant milestone within the “SAFETY FIRST” Program, through which ACTEGA Artística implements to enhance awareness towards safe behaviors and proceedings, both at management and employees level.
The ISO 45001 provides ACTEGA Artística with the right framework to put a greater emphasis on the context of the organization, including the commitment of the whole organization and participation of the internal and external stakeholders in developing a true safety culture. Additionally it extends organization’s interest into broader issues, such as labor welfare.
The ISO 45001 standard focuses especially on prevention systems and on the implementation of a culture of continuous improvement of occupational health and safety. It puts a special emphasis on prevention management as well as on the co-participation of both workers and managers in guaranteeing safer and healthier working environment.
