Wesel (Deutschland) / Adliswil (Schweiz), 20. Dezember 2019 – Der Spezialchemiekonzern ALTANA übernimmt den Schweizer Überdrucklack-Spezialisten Schmid Rhyner AG und baut damit seinen Geschäftsbereich ACTEGA strategisch aus. „Mit dem Erwerb von Schmid Rhyner setzen wir die ALTANA Strategie, durch gezielte Akquisitionen wertschaffendes Wachstum zu generieren, weiter um“, so Martin Babilas, Vorstandsvorsitzender der ALTANA AG.

schmid_rhyner_box​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Schmid Rhyner ist auf Lösungen im Bereich der Druckveredelung spezialisiert und erzielte 2018 mit knapp 80 Mitarbeitern einen Umsatz von rund 50 Millionen Euro. Das 1880 gegründete Unternehmen mit Hauptsitz im schweizerischen Adliswil und einer Tochtergesellschaft in New Jersey (USA) vertreibt seine Produkte weltweit in über 100 Ländern. Neben dem Schutz von Verpackungen mit hochwertigen Matt- und Glanzlacken erzielen die Produkte von Schmid Rhyner eine Vielzahl optischer Effekte.
