Three Exciting Days at LOUPE Americas 2026

From September 15–17, we were pleased to welcome customers, partners and industry professionals to our booth at LOUPE Americas 2026 in Chicago. Over three inspiring days, we had the opportunity to present our latest innovations for labels and packaging, exchange ideas with visitors and discuss the challenges and opportunities currently shaping the industry. The strong interest in our solutions provided an excellent starting point for many valuable conversations about important requirements around print performance, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

One of the main highlights was the ACTDigi^® LEP Primer. Developed in partnership with HP for the HP Indigo 6K, 6K+ and 8K Digital Press series, the water-based primer enables superior print quality and improved ink adhesion and supports advanced embellishments across coated and uncoated papers, synthetics, and metallized materials. Its compliance with stringent regulations was another important aspect that attracted interest among visitors. Printed samples at our booth provided a firsthand look at the primer’s capabilities.

Another important product focus was the ACTSmart™ Infusion Film Ink System, our new water-based solution for shrink and surface printing on supported and un-supported films and plastics. The solution supports press speeds exceeding 700 ft/min and eliminates the need for a catalyst typically used to gain adhesion, flexibility and the water resistance needed with shrink applications. This simplifies ink management and press-side operations while supporting consistent print results, which led to many discussions about the system’s potential for different applications.

A further highlight was the SafeShield UV-LED ink range. Designed for low-migration applications, SafeShield brings together the requirements of several different industry regulations within one product line. Suitable for applications including indirect food contact, cosmetics and pharmaceutical packaging, the inks demonstrated how regulatory compliance and print performance can be combined to help converters address increasingly complex packaging requirements.

Visitors were also able to experience the ECOLEAF^® unit at our booth. This on-demand metallization technology creates stunning metallic effects while significantly reducing carbon emissions by applying metal flakes only where needed and eliminating the need for PET carrier film and foil. The positive response and conversations at our booth further reinforced ECOLEAF^®’s position as the new standard in label metallization.
