Coatings for Closures
Complete coatings for closures
Metal closures are coated on the inside and outside. Not only does this protect them from damage; it also serves as a primer for applying ink.
The internal coating helps to prevent the metal from corroding and allows the sealing compound to adhere to the surface properly.
The external coating lends the metal closures their coloring and binds the printing inks that are subsequently applied. In addition, it improves corrosion resistance on the decorative side of the crown cork, which is protected from damage by a varnish.
