Continue ShoppingThe 28th Fakuma trade fair, the world's leading event for industrial plastics processing, took place in Friedrichshafen from October 17 to 21, 2023. ACTEGA was also on-site as an exhibitor and presented the groundbreaking TPE innovations for medical technology, pharmaceutical packaging, and consumer goods. The company looks back on a very successful time, characterized by many interesting and stimulating discussions.
One focus this year was on TPE materials for pharmaceutical stoppers. During the trade show, three material solutions from ACTEGA were in the spotlight: ProvaMed® 6145 TL, 6245 NC, and 6345 NC. These materials impart leak-proof and self-sealing properties to pharmaceutical stoppers and offer a cost-effective alternative to conventional butyl rubber pharmaceutical stoppers. In addition, ACTEGA's TPE materials are characterized by increased processability, an aspect that many trade visitors considered extremely relevant.
Florian Schindler, Head of BD Medical Technology at ACTEGA, was enthusiastic: "This year's Fakuma was once again an optimal opportunity to present the versatile application possibilities of our TPE materials to visitors and to prospective customers. With ProvaMed®, we have created an economically attractive alternative to conventional materials for pharmaceutical stoppers that is convincing in terms of safety, reliability, and quality."
Visitors could experience our TPE innovations not only at the ACTEGA booth but also live in processing at the booth of Dr. Boy, a renowned global manufacturer of injection molding machines. In a successful cooperation, universally applicable drinking cup closures were produced, which were also available to trade fair visitors as samples.
In view of the current success at the trade fair, ACTEGA has already confirmed its participation in Fakuma next year. This reinforces ACTEGA's determined commitment to continuously further develop the TPE technology and drive the transformation in the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
