METALLIC / WET TOUCH COMBINATION
This is a finishing that combines metallic and tactile effects with UV high gloss. As a first step, a low-migration UV silver coating was applied before printing to give the dolphin a metallic look. Having printed, we used a water-based matt primer and partially a low-migration UV high gloss coating to finish the dolphin and the water. Water droplets were finally covered with a low-migration UV high gloss coating, which enables surfaces to be provided with a wet touch effect.
UV silver coating: 12 cm³/m², ART, 100 l/cm
Water-based matt primer: 10 cm³/m², hexagonal, 120L/cm
UV high gloss coating: 12 cm³/m², ART, 100 l/cm
UV wet touch coating: QUAKE

Spirit of dawn
Dolphins are not a fish, but mammals. They belong to the order of whales. Dolphins have a streamlined body and are therefore perfect swimmers. Their jaws are formed into a beak-shaped, long snout. They often look as if they are smiling. This picture shows a dolphin jumping at dramatic sunrise near the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry.
