Application method recommendation
- Wet-in-wet
- Sheet-fed offset, coating unit (chambered doctor blade or roller system)
- Wet-on-dry
- Attention: coating tends to separating. - The coating must be stirred intensively before use.
- Recommended coating application: 5 - 10 g/m²/wet
- The dryer adjustment and the machinery speed must be regulated manual and adjusted to the relevant print object to guarantee a sufficient drying.
- Drying: hot air, IR reduced
- We recommend to check the viscosity and to adjust it with max. 2 % water if necessary.
- Please use printing inks suitable for coating.
- Resistance against alkali, alcohol and solvents should be given according to DIN ISO 2836, formerly DIN 16524, in order to exclude a change of colour.
- There must be a suitability for water-based coating if anti-set-off powder is used (do not use mineral powder).
- Recommended pile temperature: not › 35°C
- In order to guarantee a fast and complete drying, we recommend a sufficient airing of the sheets.
- There must be a sufficient hardening of the overall system substrate-printing ink-coating before further processing which shoud be checked in the process.
- The full profile of characteristics of the coating film is available after complete drying.
- For the further processing of the sheets under mechanical load and the influence of heat, a sufficient high basic consistency of the substrate is required.
- Important: - The coating should be tested definitely in practice. Furthermore, a pilot series should be produced and suitability must be tested by the end user. In case of further orders we are assumin
