Four locations in Germany with a different focus

ACTEGA consists of four locations in Germany, with three of them being operationally active. Each of these locations offers a different specialization, allowing the company to serve a wide range of application areas. This cross-site collaboration enables the company to respond flexibly to customer requirements and offer technically sophisticated product solutions. ACTEGA also offers a broad portfolio of solutions in the area of sustainability. This includes both products that are themselves formulated to be sustainable and those that contribute to a more sustainable end product. The aim is to develop sustainable solutions for all relevant markets in which ACTEGA is operating.

ACTEGA in Wesel

ACTEGA is managed by the holding company ACTEGA GmbH, based in Wesel. Together with the three operating sites in Germany, a strong unit is formed. ACTEGA is a division of the internationally operating specialty chemicals group ALTANA. In addition to its strong presence in Germany, ACTEGA has further sites in Europe, North and South America and China.

ACTEGA in Bremen

At the site in Bremen, ACTEGA specializes in the production and development of soft-elastic plastic granules and sealing compounds for food closures and packaging as well as thermoplastic elastomers for medical technology, the pharmaceutical sector and the consumer goods industry. The company is a global leader in the production of sealing components for plastic and metal closures for the food and beverage industry and offer reliable, innovative and application-oriented TPE solutions.

ACTEGA in Grevenbroich

At the site in Grevenbroich, ACTEGA develops and produces coatings and adhesives for flexible packaging made of aluminum, steel, tinplate, plastic and paper. The core competence lies in the development of colored product solutions for highly regulated markets such as the food and pharmaceutical industries, including applications for sterilization and thermoforming.

ACTEGA in Lehrte

The site in Lehrte is the largest European production and development site for overprint varnishes for paper and cardboard packaging, flexible packaging, labels, publications and commercial printing. Water-based and DualCure coatings are produced for use in offset, gravure, screen, flexo and digital printing. The use of renewable raw materials in these formulations is becoming increasingly important.
