This full-surface application of a water-based dull matt varnish is complemented by a soft touch effect on the mountain gorilla's fur. Both coatings were applied out of the coating unit, and printing was done in one pass.

Mountain gorilla
Mountain gorillas inhabit the rainforests of East Africa. They live in groups, usually consisting of one adult male, several females, and their offspring. No other ape species is so threatened with extinction. Reasons for this relate to the destruction of their habitat, for example in the form of clearing or road construction. Also poaching represents a major problem for the mountain gorillas.
