Ovenable Barrier Coating System for Baking Trays
This coating system has been developed as a complete, ovenable solution for paper‑based baking trays, combining reliable foodcontact performance on the inside with heat‑resistant protection on the outside.
- The ACTGreen® Barrier Coating AQ1140470 is an ovenable barrier coating designed for direct contact with a wide varietyof foods. It offers excellent oil and grease resistance (OGR), water repellence and release properties.
- The ACTGreen® Barrier Coating AQ1140480 is intended for the indirect use and applied exclusively to the outside of ovenfood packaging. The coating is used on top of heat‑resistant printing inks and provides robust protection under elevatedtemperatures.
Both coating solutions are officially approved for use on food packaging designed for microwave applications (up to 30 minutes at 150 °C) and oven use (up to 60 minutes at 180 °C and up to 30 minutes at 220 °C).
